Flute Teacher, Brisbane
Hi, I’m Rachelle.
My aim is to teach students flute in a way that will develop well-rounded musicians, is fun and self-directed.

I am a passionate teacher and have been teaching the flute for over 20 years. I have a strong foundation in both jazz and classical flute and an ability to teach a wide range of music. My teaching style is friendly and fun, with the aim being to create self-fulfilment and self-directed results.
I place a strong emphasis on technique and use an integrated approach to teaching, developing all aspects of musicianship. I do this using creative approaches which are fun and inspiring. I teach improvisation as well which is a fun creative outlet for students.
I have had a lot of success teaching students online and I have spaces available to new students. If students wish they may enter jazz or classical exams through either Trinity College London, ABRSM or AMEB all the way through to diploma level.
I teach lessons at my home studio in Clayfield, Brisbane. Online lessons and lessons at students homes are also available

“Rachelle was my first flute teacher (in classical flute) all the way from when I first picked up a flute until Grade 8. She always incorporated interesting and experimental techniques into her teaching which really drove my passion for music. She is a very kind, patient and inspirational teacher and is an excellent flautist!”

“Rachelle taught my daughter the flute for nearly four years. She has a lovely, warm manner and was always so kind and encouraging. My daughter really enjoyed her lessons and improved so much in all areas – playing the flute, posture, confidence, theory, and making a beautiful sound. I highly recommend Rachelle as a flute teacher.”
